Here's some pictures that I took last Friday when Dave and I were scouting out places to view the upcoming eclipse. We wouldn't need to go that far north to get to a place to see totality (even Cochranton would do - 10 miles away) but we wanted to get as many minutes of totality as possible and that means getting as close to Lake Erie as possible. Yesterday Jules and his boys and Hazel and I drove up to Erie to Presque Isle. We rented a 4 passenger surrey (little peddle vehicle) and a fat tire bike. We took turns being the person to steer the surrey and ride the bike. It was fun. Funny. The surrey had 2 steering wheels in the front but only the one on the left functioned.
